Across the country, sex education has become a flashpoint of debate–but what does the evidence actually say? Dr. Eva Goldfarb, Professor of Public Health at MSU, is the lead author of a landmark study demonstrating that comprehensive sex ed does much more than prevent unintended pregnancies and STIs. It improves the health and safety and long-term wellbeing of young people. Dr. Goldfarb will discuss the research as well as the growing efforts to restrict access to this information, what’s driving those movements and what it means for our community. Open to All. Free for MWC, $10 for nonmembers.
